#Watch orange is the new black season 1 episode 7 series
I was quite content to let this series pass by without much hurrah. In fact unlike most of the series on this list I didn’t seek spoilers or anything. I’ll admit when I first heard that America was remaking Douglas Adams’ Dirk Gently I was not hopeful. Or does he? The series uses its unique use of false positives to show the audience what can happen if depression is left untreated and if men continue to bottle emotions up.Īll in all this episode was a true highlight in a series which showed that if they're done right, revivals can be truly incredible.Ĥ- Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency – Series 1, Episode 7.
The reason Episode 6 stands out though is for its brilliant portrayal of depression in men, with the main character Pete’s main series arc coming to head here as he commits suicide. This new series is modern, it's flash, yet it still has the same humour and the same characters we all know and love from the original series. Brought back for a sixth series, the first since 2003 (for context I was 8). Starting our list is my mum's favourite TV series of the year (perhaps thanks to a severe lack of Mrs Brown’s Boys). Anyway I’ve babbled enough, on with the list! Please note I’ll try keep the spoilers to a minimum but the occasional one might creep out for which I’m eternally sorry for, but its still not as bad as the time I revealed Darth Vader was actually Luke’s father is it? Oh, give over, it was 26 years ago. 2016 was also the year my lecturer called me a “TV Expert” (true story) which I believe qualifies me to give you my official top 5 TV episodes of 2016. We’ve had new series, revivals of old classics, and continuations of much loved favourites. Well 2016 has certainly been an interesting year hasn’t it? Not only has it taken some of our most beloved entertainers but it’s also given us a cracking year of TV.
